nice to meet you

Janet Torelli, a self-taught sterling tableware designer, draws her unique designs from architectural and organic forms. While some have found the influence of fine jewelry in her designs, Torelli sees her work as a marriage of functionality and contemporary elegance for the table.

Janet Torelli’s ‘Swirl’ Tomato Spoon is in the National Design Museum in New York. She has participated in the Smithsonian Craft Show, Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show, American Craft Exposition, to name a few, and has had considerable mentions in newspapers and magazines.

Janet is a party planner extraordinaire, chef and certified sommelier. She has taught cooking classes including grilling classes on the Big Green Egg. Janet loves to set the table at her dinner parties, taking advantage of her collections of antique venetian glass, china, and silverware.

Originally from Chicago, she resides in Pebble Beach CA with her husband, René, providing a fertile source for her design ideas. She is a member of the American Craft Council and the American Wine Society, Monterey.
